Production Chemistry covers a wide range of topics based on problems that occur when hydrocarbons flow from reservoir to facilities.   The importance of these problems is significant because they can be variously dangerous (e.g. sour gas) or can cause either loss (e.g. asphalting or waxy oils) or cessation of production due to blockages (e.g. gas hydrates).   

Syntillica has the expertise to help in with these problems and further, for example in dealing with scales, typically when gas pressures drop in a field or corrosion caused by combination of Hydrogen Sulphide and water during production.  Other areas of expertise are in emulsion mitigation and reducing viscosity of thick oils by injection of micro-organisms in injected water.
