Capital Expenditure (Capex) is the initial outlay expense required to buy into a project.  Operational Expenditure (Opex) is the running costs of for an asset or field including Working Capital requirements.  Abandonment Expenditure (Abex) projects the costs of asset or field abandonment such as removal of surface facilities and decommissioning of wells.    In modelling all the key metrics, net Cash Flow is essential to understand phases for maximum cash expenditures and revenues.
